Your Privacy Matters

Parsely is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your recipes, grocery lists, and cooking habits are personal, and we treat them that way.

What We Collect

Short answer: We don't collect your data.

  • Your recipes, grocery lists, and meal plans are stored in your personal iCloud account
  • We don't have access to your iCloud data
  • We don't sell or share any user data with third parties
  • No analytics or tracking SDKs are embedded in the app

Recipe Parsing Service

When you save a recipe from a website using the Share Sheet or bookmarklet, the URL is sent to our parsing service to extract the recipe content. This is necessary to read recipe data from websites.

  • URLs are processed and immediately discarded
  • Parsed recipes are stored temporarily (up to 30 days) until you import them
  • Once imported, recipes are deleted from our service and live only in your iCloud

AI Features

Parsely uses AI to help parse recipes, scan cookbooks, and power the Sage assistant. When you use these features:

  • Text and images are sent to Google Gemini for processing
  • Data is not stored or used to train AI models
  • See Google's AI terms for their privacy practices

Your Rights

Since your data is stored in your iCloud account, you have full control. You can export, delete, or modify your data at any time directly through the app or through iCloud settings.
